About:Hainan 30-Day Visa-Free Access

Malaysian to hainan.

if a malaysian come to hainan 30 days visa free , still need hotel reservation if stay in friend's home in hainan.
also still need to register travel agency or not.
A bit confused as there is 15 days visa free for china and hainan is 30 days.

No, you don't need to make hotel reservation or register a travel agency. However, you have to register at local police station.

The 15-day visa-free visit allows you to visit all of Chinese cities, but you can only stay for 15 days. While the 30-day Hainan visa-free access only allow you to stay in Hainan for at most 30 days. It also requires a directly flight to and out of Hainan without any stops in other mainland cities.

Is to Hong Kong allowed? It is when it comes to the 144hr transit visa.
