singapore to london layover in guangzhou

Question

I am looking at a ticket Singapore to London but it has a 24 hour layover in Guangzhou - can I get a visa to leave the airport not collect bags just with hand luggage and stay in a hotel do some sightseeing then get the connecting flight 24 hours later? Is the bias on arrival or must I get at embassy

Don't worry, you are eligible for the 24/144-hour visa-free transit. You can apply for a temporary entry permit at the airport to go sightseeing the city. There's no need to apply for any visa in embassy.
