About:China Customs Declaration

Coach Backpack Gift

Hello,
I bought a new Coach Backpack for a friend who lives in China. Do I need to declare that with receipt? Also, I have to pay both taxes in the USA & China?

Generally, if it values no more than CNY5,000, you don't need to declare it.
