About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Multiple transits

Are you eligible for the 24 Hour TWOV on the outward flight, then the 144-Hour Visa Free transit on the return 10 days later?

We are looking to do:
London - Shanghai - Osaka with only a few hours connection in Shanghai on the outward flight
Seoul - Shanghai - London for the return flight with a 4 day stay in Shanghai.

The return flight would be 10 days after the outward flight.

We would expect to be eligible for the 24-hour TWOV on the outward flight and the 144-hour visa free transit on the return flight.

Are we correct or are there restrictions on the number of visa free transits we would be eligible for?

Anthony, you have perfectly understood all the necessary details and you are correct whit your conclusions. I will just tell you that you should not bother - worry about the fact that you will have two transits via China within a relatively short time frame because there is no limit of any kind on how many transits you can have within one particular time frame... In other words, you are good to go.
