Question regarding itinerary and Hainan visa-free policy
Hi,
first of all, thanks for your help with these posts. I have a fairly specific question. As of November 2023, German passport holders (which my girlfriend and I are) have 15-days-visa-free access to China. We would love to utilize those. We plan on arriving in Hongkong and visit HongKong and Macau (visa free for German passport holders) and then continue via train to Haikou from Macau (as fast as possible). After visiting the island, we would love to go up north and finally fly back home from Xi´an. Now to my question: How will the 15 days visa free in mainland china be dealt with? Will the one or two travel days from Macau to the island be deducted and then the count stopped when we are on the Island of Hainan? Or will the 15 days even restart after reentering from Hainan? Or will the 15 days diminish while we enjoy the 30 visa days on the island and we have no opportunity to continue travelling in China afterwards?
Thanks in advance for the help!
