Staying in China on Travel Visa

I have a 1 entry Tourist Visa and am now in China for a holiday for 3 weeks. I plan to stay an extra week - is this OK, even though I put on the visa application form the date of was leaving based on 3 weeks?

If it is still within the valid date of the visa, then there is no problem. You can also apply for a visa extension if it expires.
