Discounted fare using Shanghai Transportation Card

Will there be a discounted fare on the Shanghai Metro when using the Transportation Card? Or will the fare remain the same like the single-use ticket?

Shanghai's transportation card offers a 10% discount when taking subway on monthly purchases of RMB 70 yuan or more. There is no discount on bus.
