I am traveling with Mexican passport, can I visit Chengdu Sichuan China for 144hours Visa free?

I want to travel in or around Chinese new year 2024 February 10. I have girlfriend in China. Yet, My 10-year Mexican Passport has just issued, I believe this excludes an L Visa, I may be wrong and am seeking advice from fellow travelors or experienced travelors with such experiences. Thank You.

The 144-hour visa-free transit policy is only eligible for those who transit in China to another country / region. And you can only stay in one transit area. So please offer your complete itinerary to see if it is eligible.
