I'm a UK citizen. Can I travel from hong kong into China and back to hong kong for a day trip?

Yes, you can get a 5-day Shenzhen visa on arrival at Luohu, Shekou or Huanggang port and the visa fee is a little expensive, CNY 834. However, it only allows you to stay in Shenzhen.0
