About:Visa on Arrival

Visa at futian border?

I traveling to HK but it would be cheaper for me to fly out of Shenzhen. Logistics make traveling by ferry from HK to Shenzhen unrealistic. Do you know if it is possible to get a visa on arrival at the Futian border crossing or is Shekou port the only option?

Futian is not eligible. You can only use two overland border crossings: Luohu and Huanggang or Shekou port in Shenzhen as you have already mentioned. However, you should be aware of visa office opening hours that are usually from 9:00 until 16:30 and in Shekou: 9:00 - 13:00 & 14:30 - 16:30.
