About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Poland - Beijing - Japan - Beijing - Poland

I'm Polish citizen and would like to travel to Japan through Beijing, but I prefer to make 72-hour (~50h) stop on my way back to Poland not on the way to Japan. Is it possible?

Of course it is... This is not a problem at all and you will be covered by 144 hour visa free transit that will allow you to explore wider Shanghai area visa free. During your first journey, you will, I assume stay at Shanghai airport airside, so you will be covered by 24 hour visa free transit and during your return journey, you will stay in Beijing using 144 hour visa free transit scheme. You should just have in mind that all your tickets have to be booked in advance.
