passport picture dimension

For the physical passport pictures I see that on the official website they have provided very detailed dimensions and sizes. Are they very strict with the sizes? I have some passport photos ready but I dont know if they fit the exact dimension. Even if my background is white and every thing else is according to the requirements, can they still reject my application because of the size of my physical passport picture?
