Domestic Flight to International Flight transit

Hi everyone,
We will be arriving at Nanning airport on a domestic flight from Xi'An. What is the transit procedure like to go to an international flight from Nanning to Singapore? Do we need to checkout of immigration etc? And are domestic arrivals in a different building to international departures (i.e. have to catch shuttle)?
