Visiting Hainan island without visa

Follow up question.
1, From Vietnam, if I flight into Hong Kong or Singapore then take connecting flight to Haikou airport in Hainan. My understanding is that I don't need China visa if I have US passport. Hong Kong, Singapore and Hainan do not require visa for US passport holder. Is that correct?
2, If so, how I do contact local travel agency in Hainan to obtain visa free entry/exit? Do you have their email or phone number? Thank you

1. Yes, your flight from HK or Singapore is eligible for the 30-day visa-free visit in Shanghai.

2. Recent feedback said that it is not necessary to register a travel agency now and you can enter with your return flight ticket and hotel reservations.
