About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Travelling United Kingdom to Hanoi via Shenzhen

Hi,
Im flying from London to Vietnam. I have a 7 hour layover in Shenzhen airport. Will I need to apply for a visa or can I get a 24 hour one on arrival?

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. You do not have to apply for any kind of visa or similar. You will just declare at check-in in your home country that you will travel to Vietnam via Shenzhen using 24 hour visa free transit scheme and that is all you need. Upon your landing in Shenzhen, you will just slowly move to the gate for your onward flight and that's it.
