About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Short stay

I’m a French citizen.
I plan to fly from Paris to Shanghai, stay less than 72 hours in Shanghai, and fly back to Paris.
It is not clear if this can be considered as a short stay and benefit of the visa exemption.

Hi, as this is a return journey, it is not eligible for the 144-hour visa-free transit. Because a visa-free transit requires a transit in China to another country.
