About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Third region clarification

Dear team, just to be 100% sure, I am currently in Taiwan and would like to check out Shanghai on my way to Hong Kong. Would Taiwan - Shanghai - Hong Kong qualify for a transit without visa? Thanks
