About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flight into Shenzen

Hello,

I am looking at a flight that gets me arrives into Shenzen from Tokyo at 00:35am on a Sunday morning. Will the 144hours visa immigration desk be open to get my 5 day visa?

Yes, just don't worry. It is just important that your departure flight from Shenzhen or Guangzhou has different destination than Japan and it is also required that it does not have any additional landing within mainland China. Also, you can take a ferry to Hong Kong, but you need to book this ferry ticket before your departure from Japan.

Ok.

My flight will be back to Japan, so I am guessing I do not qualify for the 5day VISA. The flight is Japan-Shenzen-Japan.

Thanks
Annie

OK, now I can see that you are talking about totally different. In your initial post you have written about 144 hour visa free transit and now I understand that you were talking about 5 days Shenzhen visa on arrival. You have to understand that 144 hour visa free transit is a transit without a visa and 5 days Shenzhen visa on arrival is a real visa that can be obtained upon arrival in Shenzhen. I have to inform you that 144 hour visa free transit is not available for your return trip and recent information show that Shenzhen airport is not any more a place where you can get a Shenzhen 5 days visa on arrival. So, if you want to retain your original journey, you will have to obtain a Chinese visa in advance.
