X1 visa appointment details

Hi, I'm Sri Lankan but now I'm resident in Laos and I stayed here 1 year now. I'm planning to go to china for study. But Chinese embassy in Laos told me I need to go back to Sri Lanka and make the visa stamp there. But this is urgent I received my admission on a last minute. I have to get visa as soon as possible. Since I go it last minute I don't have the original admission. They send me PDF. Visa application also already received as a PDF. Now I'm planning to come to Sri Lanka and get the work done. But my question is can I get visa stamp with PDF print outs. Starting tomorrow in china it's a holiday. So university will open again on 9th October. Is it better if I apply online or can I come and ask for one day service without appointment?
