72-hour China Visa-Free Transit

I am travelling to Jeju Island from Malaysia and will transit in Shanghai and layover for 31.5 hours. Can I apply for 72-hours China Visa-Free Transit?

Yes, it has expanded to 144-hour visa-free transit and your itinerary is eligible for it.

Hi! Andy, thank you so much for your reply. But I was told that I am not eligible to apply as I am not in the 53 country list. I am from Malaysia.
Correct me if I am wrong.

Oh sorry Beh Chooi Wei, I forgot you are from Malaysia. You are right Malaysia passport holders are not eligible for 144-hour, but only 24-hour visa-free transit.
