About:Hainan 30-Day Visa-Free Access

Do I have to enter Hainan directly fro other country?

If I have two one stop flight, is it possible to get the VOA when I get into the Sanya Airport? For example, my flight is from Las Angeles to Sanya, it will stop in Shanghai for two hours and then go to Sanya

Yes, you do have to enter Hainan from other countries. Maybe you can make the stopover in other countries.
