About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

extend visa twice

I tried to extend my tourist visa for the second time in Guangzhou and was told that tourist visas can now be only extended once. Has this rule changed? It used to be twice? Is anything still possible to extend for a second time? I have a tourist visa with one 15-day extension.

Yes, they have tightened the policy recently. Maybe you can go to HK to apply for a new one there. If failed, you can only go back to your home country to apply for it.
