About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Multiple Visa Free Transit

I want to visit both Beijing and Shanghai using Visa Free Transit.

Travel itinerary will look something like this.

Tokyo > Beijing (2-3 days) > Hong Kong
1-2 days in Hong Kong then
Hong Kong > Shanghai (2-3 days) > Tokyo

If this ok to do or is there a restriction how many times you can get the Visa Free Transit within a certain time.

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in both Beijing and Shanghai, so you can stay in each Chinese city up to 144 hour visa free. However, you will have to make your itinerary to be precise because you cannot arrive in one those cities and then make decisions when will you depart. It has to be "carved in the stone" :)

There is no limit as how many visa free transits you can enjoy within a certain period. I would say that there is no limit at all.
