About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Australian citizens traveling to Guilin- visa free enquiry.

Hi- what a great forum for people who are confused with eligibility! My husband and I are traveling from Australia to Hong Kong. We then leave for Macau for 3 nights. We would then like to visit Guilin via train. We would travel by train Guilin to HongKong. We stay for a few days in HongKong before we leave for Australia- please advise if we are eligible for a visa free entry? Thanks so much. Anne

Unfortunately, this is not possible. The only eligible way to visit Guilin and to enjoy 72 hour visa free transit is by air only. In your case, again unfortunately, currently there are no flights between Macau & Hong Kong and Guilin. In other words, you will have to obtain a Chinese tourist visa in advance or postpone your trip. I'm sorry.
