About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hong Kong -> shenzhen -> europe

I am visiting Hong Kong and looking at a potential flight back to europe that departs from Shenzhen international airport. Can I go through the land border from Hong Kong to Shenzhen to get to the airport? Will this meet the requirement for the 24 hour transit permit?

I'm afraid it cannot meet it unless you go to Shenzhen by air.
Another solution is that you apply for a Shenzhen VOA. But you need to go there as early as possible because the queue can be looooong.
