About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hong Kong - Guilin - Macau

Hi, is the above route possible? Are HK and Macau considered two different regions? I know the 3rd destination for this visa type needs to be a third destination. Thanks for your help!

Yes, it is eligible. HK and Macau can be regarded as the third destination in this policy.

Hi Steph- were you eligible for the 72 hour visa free transit? We are travelling from perth to HongKong and then to Macau. We want to ‘train’ it from Macau to Guilin and then train it from Guilin to HongKong to come back home. Looks pretty much like your trip. Finding all this a tad bit confusing….thx.

Hi Evie,
You have to take a flight in and out from the same airport, I believe, so you wouldn't be eligible if you're taking the train, as Nina below says..
