Question

If I apply for a 90 day tourist visa, when does the 90 days start from.The date of the approval or the date we arrive in China.If from date of approval, how long between approval and arriving in China do you have.Ie we are travelling on 23rd November and want to know what date to apply for the visa  giving us the mist time to complete booking all our train connections etc.

I think you are talking about the validity of the visa. Its validity starts from the time of approval and usually, the validity of a single entry is usually 3 months, which means you have 3 months between approval and arriving in China. There is also duration of stay, which is the longest time you are allowed to stay in China. A single-entry tourist visa is usually 30 days.FYI, it is suggested to apply for the visa 1-2 months before going to China.
