About:China Flight

Round trip

Hello! I would like to travel in August to Beijing from Budapest (Hungary) by plane for tourist reason. I am a hungarian citizen with hungarian passport. Do I need a return ticket to enter your country? (BUD-Beijing-BUD)? Or is it a good solution to flight from Beijing to Kuala Lumpur/Singapore and travel from there back to my country after the China trip?
If possible, I would like to fly to Malaysia after spending circa 1.5 weeks in China and later come home from Kuala Lumpur, not from China. So I would like to buy a one-way ticket to China from Hungary and ticket from China to Kuala Lumpur.
Thank you in advance,
Tunde

If you plan to spend 1.5 weeks in China, you need to apply for a China visa in advance and no return ticket will be required when doing the immigration procedures upon arrival. However, when applying for the visa, they may ask for the flight ticket leaving China.

Your route BUD-Beijing-Malaysia is eligible for 144-hour visa free transit in China, supposing you travel on a Hungary passport. In the case, you also need a flight ticket leaving China.
