About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

144 hours visa free twice

Hi,
Will the following schedule work under the 144 hours visa free program:
US-Hongkong(laid over) - Guangzhou( 5 days) - Tokyo (5 days) - Guangzhou (6 days) - ferry to Hongkong (4 days)- US.
