Advice for travel destination

I plan to go to Taiwan on 29 July to 10 Aug. Can you suggest the best itinerary to visit tourist attraction starting from Taoyuan. And what is the best transportation , affordable htl/lodge in each area. And what is the climate during that time. Thank you so much.

At that time, the temperature keeps about 25-33C and it will rain a lot. It is suggested to travel around the island like this : Taibei - Yilan County - Hualien - Taichung - Kenting - Kaohsiung - Tainan. Trains are good public transport and sometimes you need to travel by long-distance bus. You may also rent a bike to cycle around some sites, too.
