Travelling to China twice as a UK passport holder

If I wish to travel to China twice as a UK passport holder, so that I require a multi-entry visa, will I need evidence of my itinerary for only the first entry or will I need it for every visit for the application to be successful?

A double-entry is enough for you; it's cheaper than the multiple-entry. The evidence, round-trip flight tickets and hotel orders, I suppose, for the first entry is enough. But you'd better state in the application form you will come to China the second time.
