About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visiting Shenzhen on a day trip for Shenzhen?

Hello,
Willing to visit Shenzhen on a day-trip from Hong Kong, arriving by train in Lo wu.
Can I apply for visa on arrival?

Yes, you can. It is quite a simple procedure, but current waiting times are long. You are advised to arrive at the border crossing before 09:00 in order to be granted a visa. Having in mind this fact, I wholeheartedly suggest you to take a direct ferry (catamaran) from Hong Kong to Shenzhen, Shekou port. This will be much easier and waiting times are noticeably shorter. You should just have in mind the fact about the opening hours of Shekou visa office: 9:00 - 13:00 & 14:30 - 16:30.
