Applying for Chinese marriage visa in Hong Kong
I am a US citizen that is married to a Chinese citizen. We have been married and living in Chains for the past 5 years. My residence permit is set the expire in August. We are going to move to the US but want to wait u til October as flights will cost 3-4 times less then. I asked the local Entry and Exit Bureau of I could apply apply for a marriage based residence permit in the city I live and I was told no. They said I'd have to leave the country to do it.
My question is, can I apply for a marriage visa for Mainland China in Hong Kong?
