Tourist visa

We are currently in cyprus and wanting to visit China but need a tourist visa. I understand getting one from a third-party country is difficult. Can you tell me which country allows a us citizen to apply for a tourist visa for china? And if there is a contact number we can call to request more information? Thank you

Generally, it is all a little difficult to apply for it in a third country. It is still more suggested to apply it in US directly. But you may give it a try in Cyprus, which costs none if failed.
