About:Visa on Arrival

VOA at Fuyong Port possible?

My first plan was to enter Shenzhen via Shekou Port. But that seems impossible as the office there close at 16:00, while my plane in Hong Kong only arrives at 16:45.

Is it correct that I can take a ferry from Hongkong airport to Shenzen airport. Can I take a ferry to there and obtain a visa on arrival there? I cannot find an operator for ferries between Hongkong and Shenzhen. Maybe I will need to enter Hongkong and take the land route?

The route between Hong Kong airport skypier to Shenzhen airport (Fuyong) port was usually performed by CKS (Chu Kong Passenger Transport), but at the time being CKS is not operating this line for some reason. In other words, you will have to drop this option because of the lack of ferries on this route.

You are advised to have an overnight in Hong Kong because all other visa offices will be closed. In any case, the best option is to take a morning ferry from Hong Kong to Shekou port to avoid quite a congestion at overland visa offices.
