About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does transit visa apply?

I am in China with business visa but I have just 1 entry. Now I want to travel to phuket . Mi flight would be

Phuket - Guangzhou ( 2 night ) - Taipei - LAX.

This is perfectly fine. When you exit China in direction to Thailand, your current Chinese visa will cease to be valid. Never mind... Your itinerary, at least as you have presented it, is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Guangzhou and is valid for entire Guangdong province, so you do not need any kind of visa.
