About:Chinese Clay Figurine Museum

Bangkok-Guangzhou-Hainan

Can I transit visa-free in Guangzhou when the ultimate destination is Hainan (Schengen passport)? It’s not specified as a third territory like HK or Taiwan, but it’s visa-free… called the airline and they didn’t know.

No, you are not eligible for it and you need to apply for a visa in advance. In the case, you can travel to both Guangzhou and Hainan.

To be eligible for Guangzhou visa-free, your destination after it should be a third country/region and Hainan is definitely not.
To be eligible for Hainan visa-free, you need to fly directly into Hainan from other countries or regions; any additional landing in China mainland is not allowed.
