About:How to Apply for a China Tourist Visa

I am applying for a chinese visa for the first time but I have family there and would probably stay with them instead of hotels, do I have to make hotel reservations still? And how detailed does the travel itinerary have to be?

You can submit an invitation letter from your family in China to replace the hotel bookings. List all the cities you are going to visit, except Tibet and Xinjiang; the more detailed, the better.
