About:10-Year China Visa for UK Citizens

Chinese L visa, arriving overland.

I am British passport holder, resident in Spain. I had Chinese work visas 2013-2019 and then British L visa 2019 -.with two entries to China. But went on holiday 2020 and could not return to China due to Covid. Now living in Spain. Planning trip overland to SE Asia, want to enter China from Kazakhstan by train, Almaty to Urumqi then immediately on to Kunming. Spend time in in Yunnan, then exit overland into Laos. I will return 3 months later by the same route. I need a Mutiple entry tourist visa. Can I get a "British L visa" as I am British passport holder in Spain or only a Schengen Euro style tourist visa? Coud I apply in London and get British L visa if not? How long do I have once the British visa is issued to enter China? Duration of each stay? What is the duration of the visa? Can I enter overland from Kazakhstan? Is Xinjiang a problem? Any thoughts??????

1. I think your "British L visa" means “China L visa applied in British". Am I right?
2. You can apply for a China tourist visa in London. It's also possible to get it in Spain if you have a Spain residence permit.
3. The validity period of a single-entry L visa is usually 3 months. If it is a double-entry one, it is usually valid for 6 months. This means you have 3 months or 6 months respectively to enter China once the visa is issued.
4. The duration of each stay is 30 days. If needed, you can extended the duration before it expires in China.
5. The passengers train from Kazakhstan to Urumqi is still out of service and it is not practicial to travel in that way.
