requirements when exiting china

can i exit china without a problem 3 days after my work and residence permit cancellation? is there any documents needed to show to the immigration officer in the airport when leaving.

You'd better not overstay because it may influence your visa application in the future. If you need to stay in China for a few more days, just extend or renew your current visa.

If already overstayed, go to the local police station as soon as possible, pay the fine, and then apply for an exit permit in order to leave the country without any problem.
