Hong Kong single or multiple visa?

Hello,

If I enter Shenzhen from Hong Kong with Shenzhen VOA, do I need a Hong Kong multiple-entry visa to come back to Hong Kong?

My round-trip ticket is flying to & from Hong Kong.

Thank you.

Lan Anh, you are correct. When you exit Hong Kong in direction of mainland China, your Hong Kong visa will be anulled. In other words, you will need a multiple entry visa to Hong Kong in order to return back to Hong Kong from Shenzhen.

Also, it is important to mention that Chinese visa authorities usually ask from ASEAN countries (Vietnam included) to present their old Chinese visa (regardless when it was issued) in order to grant them a Shenzhen 5 days visa. So, if you have been granted a Chinese visa before, you should bring your old passport with that, old visa to be granted a Shenzhen visa. If you were not issued a Chinese visa in the past, you will be probably refused Shenzhen visa.

If you fulfill the above requirements, I suggest you to take Luohu border crossing, but have in mind that visa office is open just until 16:30.
