About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

UK to Guangzhou via HK

If I travel on 144 hour visa from London to Guangzhou via stopover at HongKong International Airport, then can I return to UK with direct flight from Guangzhou?

Yes, in that case your itinerary will be, as far as the Chinese authorities are concerned:

Hong Kong - Gunagzhou - United Kingdom

This is perfectly eligible itinerary for 144 hours visa free transit in entire Guangdong province.

Just two details more:
- You have to enter Guangdong province by plane or in other words, you have to fly from Hong Kong to Guangzhou
- Your flight from Guangzhou to United Kingdom has to be direct, without any additional landing within mainland China and Hong Kong.

Also, this is not 144 hour visa, but 144 visa free transit, so no visa at all :)
