About:China Visa on Arrival

VOA Shenzhen

Hi, my parents are coming to visit me end of this month from Singapore but are Malaysian passport holders. Do I need to write an invitation letter for them to apply for VOA Shenzhen? What documents are needed and how much would it cost? Thank you!

They don't need invitation letters from you to obtain the VOAs. But you should know that the Shenzhen VOAs only allow your parents to stay in Shenzhen for up to 5 days. If they want to stay longer or travel to other destinations in the mainland of China, they'd better apply for regular visas in advance. It costs CNY168 per person.
