About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Multiple use of 144 hours

Please check a possible flight schedule:

Paris - Guangzhou - Hongkong

After stay in hongkong :

Hongkong - Xiamen - Amsterdam

Xiamen en Guangdong are 2 different zones. If I leave Guangdong by land / train border to hongkong. Stay for a night in hongkong, and then fly from hongkong to xiamen, with confirmed ticket to amsterdam, will I get the 144 hours visa at both zones?

Jannes, you are perfectly correct. In reality, there is no limit as how many times you can enjoy 144 hours visa free transit. So, your both routes are eligible for 144 hours visa free transit, but within different transit zones.

Please, keep in mind that you will need a proof of your exit ticket from Guangzhou (or some other city within Guangdong province) to Hong Kong at the time of your landing in Guangzhou. Here I recommend you to buy a direct bus ticket from Guangzhou to Hong Kong. At the time being probably the most comfortable way of travel would be to take a high speed train, but I am not quite certain that the high speed train is eligible way of transport to Hong Kong within this 144 hours visa free transit policy. I think that it is, but I really cannot confirm this detail.
