German Passport: Visa free Transit in Beijing possible?

Hello,
we would like to know if it is possible at the moment to get the visa free entry/transit in Beijing as German passport holders?
We are planning to fly Seoul-Beijing-Osaka and would stay in Beijing 72 hours (or 144 hours?).
Thanks for replying

Anja, if your route is Seoul - Beijing - Osaka and you do not have any additional landing in Mainland China and you do not return to South Korea after your stay in Beijing, you are definitely eligible for 144 hours visa free transit.
