Hong Kong - Zhuhai - Macau is eligible for the visa free transit.
Hong Kong - Zhuhai - Hong Kong and Hong Kong - Shenzhen - Hong Kong is not eligibe and you'd better apply for a regular business visa for it.

"Hong Kong - Zhuhai - Macau is eligible for the visa free transit."

How is this possible? I am curious because I specifically just need to go to Zhuhai for one day. Can one take the ferry from HK to Zhuhai and be eligible for the visa free? Or is there some other method from HK to Zhuhai that allows for visa free? Thank you!

The route is eligible but not practical because only three entry ports in Guangdong Province allow the visa-free entry and none of them are in Zhuhai. Maybe you can apply for a visa on arrival in Zhuhai. As I know, Jiuzhou ferry port issues VOA.
