Have a work visa expiring and would like to change to travel visa after

Hi
I've been working in China for 8 years. I'm retiring and my current resident permit expires 6/17/2023. I'd like to stay an extra 3 months to travel. Do I need to bring flight information when I go to the PSB, and do you think this will be any kind of problem?

No flight info is needed. But it's difficult to extend for 3 months for one time. Usually, each extension allows 30 more days, so you may need to go there more than one time.
