Q Visa Questions

Hello, thanks for your information! I'm a British citizen currently working on a Z visa. I married my wife, a Chinese citizen, in October 2021. We're currently renovating the apartment we bought, which will later be my registered address. We are looking for the best option to apply for my temporary residence in China when my current employment concludes in August 2022. Some questions if I may:

1) Are we eligible to apply for my Q1 or Q2 based on my/our status? We married in Oct 2021 and I don't have permanent residence.
2) Given that I still have a valid Z visa until the autumn of 2022, when is the best time to apply for a Q visa?

In your case, you can apply for Q1 visa, and the application duration is about 10 to 15 days. You can arrange it according to your own time. However, you need to be aware that you can't work on a Q1 visa.
