Documents for Criminal Background Check?

Hello,

Can someone tell me the documents I need to process my Criminal Background check?

I live in Guangzhou, China, but my passport is from Kazakhstan. My husband's passport is from the USA.

I am hoping for specifics because the local police station doesn't provide help in English.

You need to issue a criminal or non-criminal record certificate from the public security department of your previous permanent residence in Kazakhstan and the United States respectively. For records after you arrive in Guangzhou, you need to issue a record certificate from the Public Security Bureau of Guangzhou.
