The chinese embassy can accept Q2 visa for those who has Chinese friend without relatives in China?

I have A Chinese friend who intends to meet me in China, so my Chinese friend can give me an invitation letter to apply for a Q2. The chinese embassy can accept Q2 visa for those who has Chinese friend without relatives in China?

Q2 visa is for those with relatives inside China and an intended stay for less than 180 days. Not for friends. For friends it would be an S1-S2 visa which are currently not able to enter China.
